School Visits
School Visits
A visit from the fire department is meant to empower students to stay safe at home, school, or out in the community. Lessons emphasize prevention, planning, and what to do in the event of an emergency. We are happy to schedule multiple classes, but please limit group sizes to just one or two classrooms at a time and allow 30 minutes per group. Email education@mvfr.org with any questions.
We are utilizing SignUp.com to schedule visits for Fall 2026. Click the button below to reserve your spot. We are asking for teachers or school staff to select the date and a morning session or afternoon session for our visit. Once you have selected a time slot, you will be prompted to enter specific start and stop times within that larger time slot.
Please note that we are limiting visits from the on-duty fire crews to Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten. Our Outreach/Education team will provide the lesson for first grade and older. Thank you for understanding as we work to balance the needs of the district.

The National Fire Protection Association's theme for 2026 Fire Prevention Week is:
Safe Charging Is a Superpower!
Fire Prevention Week™ is October 4–10, 2026. “Charge Into Fire Safety™. Safe Charging Is a Superpower” focuses on the everyday charging habits that can help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires and keep homes and communities safer.
Plug in. Power up. Stay safe.
