Just after sunrise on  04.02.2025, the crews at Station 2 on Baseline Road performed a push in ceremony for the new engine 202.

This is a brand new 2024 Rosenbauer Commander chassis that will serve our residents for many years to come.

The previous engine had been in service since 2014, first with Rocky Mountain Fire and then Mountain View Fire Rescue after the merger.

Push In ceremonies are a relatively new tradition with Mountain View Fire Rescue, the practice dates back to the days of horse drawn apparatus where cruise would actually have to push in the new wagons. With an engine of this size and weight the engineer in the driver seat has to give a little assistance to those pushing the engine into the bay.
