Mountain View Fire Rescue Selects Chief Froilan “Pepper” Valdez as New Fire Chief
Mountain View Fire Rescue (MVFR) is pleased to announce that Chief Valdez has accepted the offer to become our next Fire Chief. Chief Valdez brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and dedication to public service; MVFR is excited and honored to welcome him to the agency and surrounding communities.
Chief Valdez currently serves as the Fire Chief for the Billings Fire Department in Billings, Montana, a role he has held for the past four years. With a total of 26 years of service with the Billings Fire Department, he has led with a steadfast commitment to firefighter safety, operational excellence, and community engagement. His extensive experience and passion for the fire service make him an excellent choice to lead MVFR into the future.

MVFR looks forward to officially welcoming Chief Valdez and his family to the department in the coming weeks and anticipates a smooth leadership transition. Chief Valdez will officially begin his new role on June 2nd. The swearing in ceremony will be announced when details have been finalized.
